Rayquaza makes it debut in the 7th movie ''[[Destiny Deoxys]]''. Like all other Legendary Pokemon, Rayquaza is a truly powerful Pokemon. Four years before, Rayquaza fought against Deoxys because it thought the Pokemon was invading its territory. Rayquaza and Deoxys fought fiercely against each other and although Deoxys had the upper hand, Rayquaza takes it by surprise and defeats it with a Hyper Beam, destroying it completely. However, Deoxys somehow manages to regenerate in order to find its friend, which is another Deoxys. Rayquaza senses Deoxys' presence and flies off to LaRousse City to find Deoxys and destroys it for good.

Upon arriving to LaRousse City, Rayquaza fought Deoxys. Although Deoxys blocked it by putting a shield around the city, preventing Rayquaza to defeat Deoxys. After the shield went off Rayquaza entered the city, attacking Deoxys. Meanwhile, Deoxys long lost friend was being revived by Ash and Tory. After they suceeded, the Deoxys was reunited by the other Deoxys. Both of them were able to defeat Rayquaza. The security system in the city however, was out of control. Tory's father contacted them, saying that the system would go offline if a card was identified to the security leader. Ash did that. Rayquaza than returned to space after that.
